Welcome to St. Catharine Academy! Since 1889 St. Catharine's has offered to the young women of New York City an outstanding educational experience in the tradition of Catherine McAuley and the Sisters of Mercy. We continue to shape the future for young women by providing a catholic secondary education that addresses the needs of the whole person.
Students at St. Catharine's have the opportunity to excel academically with a variety of course selections including honors and Advanced Placement options. Our teachers are using the latest in technology to enhance their classroom methodologies and differentiate instruction.
As we strive to form the leaders of the future, there are numerous clubs and sports teams that our young women participate in. Our teams are very successful and have won division championships while our cheerleaders continue to move up in the national ranking.
