Campus Ministry

Wednesday mornings room 21
Dues - $5

Campus Ministry at St. Catharine Academy is rooted in Mercy tradition and values and helps us as a community to Jesus' call to serve others.  The Campus Ministry Club offers students many opportunities to grow in their faith.

Campus Ministry members take part in school-wide prayer services, the praying of the Rosary and the Stations of the Cross as well as facilitate the organization of school-wide ventures to assist those in need such as the Thanksgiving Food Drive, Christmas Toy Drive, Pet Food Drive and other activities throughout the school year.

The objective of the Campus Ministry Program at St. Catharine Academy is to provide the students with opportunities to deepen their personal faith through involvement in activities celebrating the faith community through various forms and styles of worship. Participation in the Campus Ministry program will help individuals realize their significance in relationship to school, family, Church and the world community. Students will be encouraged to share their gifts and to minister to the needs of others. The activities of Campus Ministry will serve to raise consciousness about and encourage action regarding contemporary moral and social problems, as well as to urge people to work toward a more just, safe and peaceful world.

The yearly retreat program will be coordinated by Campus Ministry and will be designed to serve the needs of each grade level. The Christian Service Program is a four-year requirement and will be coordinated through Campus Ministry. Students will be given opportunities to serve within our school community and in their neighborhoods in activities that are meaningful to them.

Campus Ministry will engage students in preparing and serving at grade level Liturgies and prayer services. Members of Campus Ministry may lead the school in morning prayer and maintain a book of intentions in the school chapel. Participation in Campus Ministry will offer students an opportunity for students to develop faith sharing communities within our school.
