Giving Opportunities

Annual Fund:  The Annual Fund is the single most important fund for philanthropy at SCA.  Unrestricted gifts to the annual fund allow St. Catharine to provide financial support to our students, professional development for our faculty and enrichment programs and extracurricular offerings.

Named and Endowed Scholarships:  St. Catharine Academy has several endowed scholarships including the Sr. Patricia Wolf, RSM ‘62 Scholarship, The Mother McAuley Legacy Scholarship, The Valerie Puglisi Scholarship Fund, The Patricia Ridge Wilkinson Women in Math Scholarship, The Aurora Rogati Ferraro ‘61 Endowment Scholarship, the Patrica Noreen Faith and Grace Scholarship and the Police Officer’s Daughter Scholarship Fund.  These funds are used to provide scholarships to students who otherwise would not be able to afford a St. Catharine Education.

Endowed scholarships establish a lasting way to honor or memorialize a person or family. Endowment creates a permanent funding source designed to support deserving students now and into the future. The minimum amount required to establish an endowed scholarship is $50,000. Additional gifts may be made, sometimes by family and friends, to increase the value of the scholarship. The principal remains intact while the interest is used to create the yearly scholarship award.

Trustee Scholars Program:  The Trustee Scholars Program was established to reward academically gifted students with a merit-based scholarship.  Students in the Trustee Scholars’ program are required to take a rigorous course of study and achieve high results on national tests such as the PSAT.

Sr. Patricia Wolf, RSM ‘62 Legacy Fund: Created to honor the legacy of Sr. Patricia Wolf, RSM, the Pat Wolf Legacy Fund was seeded with a lead gift from Valerie and Michael Puglisi.  Contributions to this fund are designated to assist the Academy as we provide programs and services for our students.
