Dear Alumnae, Donors, Friends and Families of St. Catharine Academy,
St. Catharine Academy celebrates Mercy Day, a commemoration of the first House of Mercy that opened on September 24, 1827. Following in the footsteps of our foundress, Catherine McAuley, we will focus our Mercy Day celebration on the needs of the poor and marginalized, inviting partner organizations to explore the ways in which social issues impact our neighbors. After the educational piece, our students will perform service in support of:
Housing Solutions of New York
Mercy Center
Midnight Run
Part of the Solution (POTS)
From September 24 - October 24, we are asking our alumnae, donors, friends, families, and supporters to contribute to SCA! Funds raised will go to support academic innovation including new equipment and materials, guest speakers and lecturers, educational field trips, and professional development. Our goal is to raise $9,240.00 and attract 50 new donors. Donations can be made in the following increments: $9.24, $92.40, $924.00, or an amount of your choice.
Catherine McAuley encouraged the sisters to enjoy a "comfortable cup of tea," since then, tea has symbolized the warmth and comfort that exists within all Mercy Ministries. Catherine McAuley’s legacy lives on at SCA! Donors who contribute at the $92.40 level and above will be sent a complimentary box of tea!
Help Us Fill Our Teacup!
In Mercy,
