JV Cheer Places 1st

The JV cheer team won 1st place on Jan 11, 2020 at the Eastchester Competition.

Distance Learning from March 16-March 20

In light of the coronavirus pandemic, SCA will employ distance learning from Monday, March 16th to Friday, March 20th. Teachers will be available between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. For students without WIFI, the school building will be open on Wednesday, March 18th, Thursday, March 19th, and Friday, March 20th from noon to 4PM. The school WIFI will be available for completion of assignments.

Three Alumnae Join SCA

Three alumnae are beginning the new school year by sharing their talents with St. Catharine Academy. They are taking on the roles of Board of Trustees member, dean of student services and mathematics teacher.

SCA Cheer Teams Support Tunnel to Towers Run

SCA’s cheer teams have become a regular part of the Tunnel to Towers Run each September. The 5K run follows in the heroic footsteps of Stephen Siller, a firefighter who ran through the tunnel, to join first responders on 9/11.

Celebrating Mercy Day, Sept. 24

On this day in 1827, Catherine McAuley opened the House on Baggot Street in Ireland as a school for poor young girls and a residence for homeless girls and women. Anna Maria Doyle and Catherine Byrn began these works of mercy with Catherine.

Renovations: the changes keep coming

The old chapel is now gone to make way for SCA’s new look. The other pictures show how it looked earlier this week when the roof from the old chapel was removed.
